Our story

A moving company we'd want for our own families.

We were tired of the same story: a friend gets a "verbal quote" on Friday, the truck shows up late on Saturday, and by Sunday evening they're on the phone arguing about a price that has somehow doubled.

Moving is already stressful packing up your life, leaving a neighbourhood, settling into somewhere new. Adding a chaotic moving day on top of all that felt unnecessary.

So we built Icon Africa around three quiet promises: a fixed written quote, one coordinator from start to finish, and a crew trained to treat your things the way they'd want their own treated.

It hasn't made us the cheapest movers in Nairobi. It has made us the ones our customers call again and the ones they recommend to a friend.

Anyone can rent a truck. The difference is the people who load it, drive it and unpack it. We invest in training, kit and good wages because they are the brand.

Stay until you're settled

We don't leave when the truck is empty. We leave when the bed is made, the TV works, and you've signed off the inventory yourself.

How we got here

A short timeline.

Year one

Started as a logistics service

Two trucks, a small crew and a notebook. Mostly office cargo runs between Nairobi and Mombasa.

Year two

First full home moves

A repeat client asked us to move her family. We figured it out as we went — and learned every lesson the hard way.

Year three

Built the coordinator model

One person to own a move from quote to handover, instead of three people half-owning it.

Today

Going beyond moving

Residential, corporate, packing, storage, nationwide logistics and cross-border coordination.
